We have manufacturing branches in Durban and Johannesburg, with distribution in Cape Town via our agents, Rexx Chemicals.

We commenced business as a specialized manufacturing ink company in August 1997. Our Managing Director, Gordon Raymond Edward Lucy, founded the Company following a management buyout of the screen printing inks division of Solchem (Pty) Ltd. Jay Punwasi and Patrick Jooste joined Gordon to become the directors of our Durban and Johannesburg branches. Six months later, Frank Reeve hopped on board as Technical Director at GL JHB. Together, these directors have more than 150 years ink related international experience. Since inception GL has grown substantially and prides itself in minimal staff turnover, presently boasting four Directors and more than 50 employees countrywide. Frank has recently retired but remains as a Technical Consultant to GL.
With dedicated Screen ink manufacturing facilities at two "centres of excellence" and blend facilities at agents around the country, GL Specialized Inks is ideally positioned to provide a professional service to discerning customers in the Screen Printing specialist sectors.
